EWB and NCDC conducted heath and sanitation training in December of 2011 in Ilam. The educational materials were donated by UNICEF Nepal, and EWB covered some of the modest costs of this program.

NCDC continues to work on new projects. These images were sent earlier this week. They show completed projects and projects in progress. Thanks as always to the EWB team and to Bhupal for sending these updates and keeping us up to date on the progress.

Pleased to be posting some news here after several quiet months. Bhupal sent these images today - he and a EWB volunteer are shown taking briquette training from Sanu Kaji at FoST. The briquette program will be developed in the Ilam district over the next year.
This initiative was developed by NCDF and approved by NCDC. The images here show the pulping process. The custom stoves can also be seen in operation.I'll post more images of this process as they arrive from Nepal.

These images were sent today from Bhupal showing a working example of the biogas project.
Posted here are some images of the reed bed system, pico hydro, public latrine, (Ilam) and some of the agricultural experiments that NCDC is taking on with the help of EWB folks from Colorado, india and Israel. These were taken in October 2010.

These arrived today.In Bhupal's words: "I have some pictures for school health camp,in that camp, doctors checkup students health and i give the class for sanitation,hand wash,clean water etc.ilam municipality and D.H.O give soap,brush,toothpast,hanker and nail cleper for student. that is the story. Mara also with this team."
